Biography: Victor French began acting with a small role in the movie "Lassie". He worked on western films in the beginning of his career, always as the bad guy. The role he is most famous for is Mr. Edwards on the classic television show "Little House on the Praire" for which the cast were inducted into the Hall for Great Western Performers. After the series end, he worked again with friend Michael Landon on the series, Highway to Heaven. Victor French died of lung cancer after a lifetime of smoking in 1989 after finishing the last episode of "Highway to Heaven".
